Beaches- Beach holidays to Alexandria can be quite enjoyable as well. You may have to search a bit to find free public beaches or you can book all inclusive holidays through resorts that have their own private beaches for your sand and surf pleasure. Diving, swimming, sunbathing, wind surfing, and skiing are also enjoyed in this area. You can also spend an enjoyable afternoon sailing in these beautiful waters for a new way to take in the local sights (from a distance of course).

History- There are very few places on earth where history comes alive right before your eyes as it does in Alexandria. Make sure to keep Pompey's Pillar, the kom el shokafa catacombs, and the Roman amphitheater in mind to visit during your stay. Visit the site of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world at the Fort of Qaietbey where Ptolemy 2nd  had what is believed to be the first lighthouse built.The lighthouse was destroyed by an earthquake during the 14th century but the Fort is an interesting place to visit today. Present One bright spot of green in Alexandria is the Montazah Palace and Gardens.
